Transport in Maastricht and the Netherlands might be a bit different compared to your home country. The main form of transport within the city is bikes. The infrastructure allows you to get almost anywhere easily by bike. However, within the city centre there are some pedestrianised streets that are closed off from cyclists during shopping hours. There is also a good bus and train network in the region of Limburg which makes it easy to navigate your way around the province. International travel to cities, such as, Paris and Brussels, is also accessible from Maastricht.
