Trench with Alaska Pollock and Oliver

TRENCH is a co-production between Kaleido and Muziekgieterij. We give both up-and-coming and local artists the big stage to showcase their work. Besides great live music we create a food and drink menu that suits the music to enhance the overall experience of the night. Dinner is always served between 20.00 and 21.00 and the drink of the night is available throughout the entire evening.

ALASKA POLLOCK is where electronic music meets alternative pop, with just a touch of blues. Based in Amsterdam, the band is built around composer and producer Jelte de Vries. By combining his guitar-driven songs with electronic drums and synths, he creates an interesting sonic landscape that is both intriguing and groovy.
Taking the best of the electronic and acoustic worlds, Rogier van Roosmalen, Olivier de Jong and Jelte perform with the live-feeling you’d expect from a band – with the lush sound of an electronic production.
ALASKA POLLOCK is most probably influenced by Radiohead, Alt-J, Flume and many others.

OLIVER are a band from the far south of The Netherlands. They make dreamy and catchy alternative pop/rock with a haunting edge to it. Melancholic on one side, uplifting on the other side, they drag the audience along a path of real emotions. They want people to ‘feel’ their music.
OLIVER played a variety of gigs last year, including some of the bigger festivals in the south. They’re putting a lot of work into their debut EP at the moment, which will be finished sometime this year.
