Description: Women on Weights (WOW) is a group fitness programme that is designed to engage and empower women of any training ability about the importance and benefits of regular resistance exercise. This 7-week programme has been divided into two Levels.
Level I course includes basic training principles, lifting techniques, proper posture, basic nutrition and the structure of a training schedule. This course is suitable for women who never trained in a fitness setting, have no or little experience with resistance exercise and would like to begin from the start.
In the Level 2 course will build on the principles learned in the first course and introduce more advanced training methodology .This course is suitable for women who feel more familiar in the gym, have (some) experience with resistance exercise and would like to improve their technique and knowledge.
In both courses there will be mainly trained with free weights. The purpose of this programme is to make women feel confident in the gym at the end of the course.
All participants of the course are required to be present during te first class of the course.
