Psychedelics and the essential importance of context

As we recently saw quite an influx of new members joining our journal club, we decided to go back to the basics and talk about dose, set and setting. More specifically, we want to focus on the methodologies used by various studies that investigate the influence of different factors on psychedelic experiences. In the first meeting (9th) we are going to discuss different publications about the role of set and setting. You can find the recommended literature in our google drive (WhatsApp group description). One of our members agreed to summarize the literature for those who may not have the time to read it, but it would still be great if you'd be able to read at least some of it so we can have a more in-depth discussion. Our meetings are open to everyone who is interested in the topic. If you want to join us, please sign up via the linked Google Form. Disclaimer: uniMIND is an international network of academic journal clubs focused on psychedelic research and altered states of consciousness. Our main focus is to connect individuals interested in learning more about psychedelics and their therapeutic potential. We meet up regularly to have discussions about different publications from this field of study. Sometimes, we are even joined by senior academics who discuss their own publications or research projects. Feel free to check out our Instagram page: https://www.instagram.com/unimind_maastricht/
