As we recently saw quite an influx of new members joining our journal club, we decided to go back to the basics and talk about dose, set and setting. More specifically, we want to focus on the methodologies used by various studies that investigate the influence of different factors on psychedelic experiences.
During our third meeting of this month (23rd), we will try out a new format:
By using the insights from our previous meetings, we will try to develop a new research design, which could fill a gap in the literature and shed more light on one (or more) of the factors discussed during this month's meetings. Ideally, we would have a somewhat structured study protocol coming out of this meeting. Depending on how well this works out, our design may even be implemented one day ;) Nevertheless, it will surely be a great opportunity to apply this month's learnings.
Our meetings are open to everyone who is interested in the topic.

Disclaimer: uniMIND is an international network of academic journal clubs focused on psychedelic research and altered states of consciousness. Our main focus is to connect individuals interested in learning more about psychedelics and their therapeutic potential. We meet up regularly to have discussions about different publications from this field of study. Sometimes, we are even joined by senior academics who discuss their own publications or research projects.
