Function description

As content administrator of you are responsible for everything that is written and published on our website. Think of our website as an empty shell. The shell was created by our developer and was coloured by our designer. It is your job to fill this empty shell with content. This goes for informative texts that are published in our Get Settled sections, but also extends to the dynamic content of our Go Explore sections, i.e. management of our databases and submitted articles for the media section.

This doesn’t mean that you personally have to have written each and every piece of information published, but it does mean that you are in charge of what gets published and what doesn’t. And that you are held responsible for what is published.

Besides great communication skills you will need to be a master of two programs which are, after a brief practice period quite easy to grasp. Namely Google Drive and WordPress.

The following are regular tasks that need to be undertaken by you independently. For one-off tasks please use the Task Overview sheet in Google Drive. This is an easy way for the project coordinator to assign you tasks and check your progress. If instead of using google sheets you’d like to use a program like Wunderlist or any other To-Do-List software, then please just communicate this to the project coordinator. It’s important that both parties, i.e. you and the project coordinator, have access to the software of your choice.

Please Note

Please bear in mind that we are a small team. This means that there will undoubtedly be tasks and to-do’s assigned to you that don’t fit the job description per se. I guess that could be seen as a downside of a small team. However, the pro’s of a small team definitely outweigh the con’s. A small team means for you: team outings once a month, being involved in the strategic development of the platform, being involved in brainstorms and creative sessions about the future of… the list goes on. We very much value creative input and love it when team members come up innovative ideas.
