Who is mymaastricht.nl?

Thomas Schäfer

Currently working as project leader for Maastricht University and member of the Student & City program. The MyMaastricht project, which I picked up in August attempts to combine a more transparent and intuitive approach of information provision. Together with my team, I tried to accumulate our knowledge about the city to provide you with a platform that is easy to understand and comprehensive in content. Next to my job, I am passionate about sport, music and means for a sustainable future.

Dennis Wouters

Working on a school project as a Communication and Multimedia Design student at Zuyd Academy of Media Design and Technology, I became involved with the start-up of mymaastricht.nl. Upon completion of this project, I was happy to be approached to assist in the further development of mymaastricht.nl. I poured my heart and soul into developing an interface that is both user-friendly and straightforward, and is consistent with the visitor's experience. I also designed all the other visual communications resources.

Kees van Lierop

Lately front-end web development has become a great passion of mine. As a developer it has been a pleasure being part of the realisation team of MyMaastricht. The technical functionalities and modules embedded within this platform reveal the strength and importance of this portal. That's why playing an integral part in this website's development gives me joy.

Neal Gordon Cowan

I did my bachelor's degree in media culture at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences in Maastricht. Back in late 2011 I founded the Facebook group Sharing is Caring - Maastricht University. Similar to Sharing is Caring this project fits into my greater vision of making Maastricht a more student-friendly and sustainable city. I'm glad to be able to hand on the information I gathered over the years to new students in this city - to make life just that little bit easier.

Timo Poth

I am a European Studies student at FASoS, UM. I moved to Maastricht three years ago and since then had a great time here! What I most love about Maastricht is its cultural diversity and internationality. I think the diverse student community provides the chance to create a global network, meet countless great people and expand as a person. I hope that through my work at mymaastricht.nl, I can help students find opportunities, organizations and teams, which will allow them to integrate, find friends and make the best out of their time in Maastricht!

Elena Vilarín

An EU Law student with a background in communication, literature and linguistics. Overwhelmingly optimistic, with an international mind-set, thrives in cosmopolitan environments and in love with Maastricht’s vibrant atmosphere. Honored to be part of the MyMaastricht team and to have the opportunity to help you make the most of this stimulating city, connect with its welcoming community and hopefully make you feel a bit more at home.

We would like to thank Lauren, Emile, Rendy, Pascal, Ralph, Koen, Yvon, John, Sjoerd, Norma and Max for their valuable contributions. This project would not have been possible without your input.
