22nd Music Award Maastricht - String instruments

From all corners of the world, young talented musicians have found their way to the Conservatorium Maastricht to pursue their passion for music. They are now in the spotlight of the Music Award Maastricht, where string instruments play the leading role with the magical theme "One Night in Vienna" setting the tone. Five candidates managed to qualify for the honourable Music Award Maastricht after a preliminary selection process. This year's finalists are: Ioanna Boultadaki, Yanis Grisó, Theodore Kim, Alejandro Ruiz Vasquez and Oleksandr Yukymovych. The piano accompaniment this evening will be provided by Anastasia Goldberg. An expert jury comprising Reinilde Leyers (vz), Alexandra Van Beveren, Paul Stavridis and Leonid Kerbel will proceed to assess them on their artistic impression, technical level and charisma, and only one of the finalists will be allowed to receive the coveted prize. This prize, with a generous amount of €5,000, will allow the winner to spend this amount on further musical and artistic development, taking the next step in their professional career. Yet that's not all! The audience also has a crucial role in this musical spectacle. The audience will have the chance to decide the winner of the public prize.
