Would you like to know more about the systematic gender differences in the assignation of tasks and work retribution in academia?
Then join FEM and Professor Lise Vesterlund on 12 December, the launch of the book “De Nee Club” to discuss the redistribution of service work and how institutions should deal with it.
The Female Empowerment (FEM) Board of Maastricht University will be hosting the launch of the book “De Nee Club” (“The No Club: Putting a Stop to Women's Dead-End Work”) by Linda Babcock, Brenda Peyser, Lise Vesterlund and Laurie Weingart on systematic gender differences in the assignation of tasks and work retribution in academia.
🗣On Monday 12 December, professor Lise Vesterlund has been invited to Maastricht to discuss the redistribution of service work and how institutions should deal with it.
‼️The event will be held in English and hosted onsite at the Aula, Minderbroedersberg 4-6 between 14:00 and 17:00. As FEM has previously dealt with the role of service work for success in Dutch academia, this event has the aim to further promote gender equality and equity within the UM community by unburdening women’s careers from work that goes unrewarded.
