Beauty Treatments in Maastricht

As we know, the life of a student can be very stressful. So it’s important to remember to take a break and pamper yourself every now and then. Beauty treatments in Maastricht aren’t exactly always student-budget friendly, so I suggest indulging in them only as an occasional reward—perhaps after an intense exam week. With that in mind, I’ve compiled some affordable options from businesses that offer student discounts. I also asked for your recommendations on Instagram to help with this. So here it is: a handy guide to discounted beauty treatments in Maastricht.

Nails

For nails, my personal recommendation is Nili’s Nails. The nails you see in the picture were done by her, and I’m obsessed! This design with hard gel cost €40. She loves when clients bring inspiration pictures from Pinterest, so don’t hesitate to get creative. Nili’s quite busy, so I recommend following her on Instagram, where she posts her weekly availability. She offers soft gel, hard gel, and press-ons (which she can deliver to you).

Other recommendations from our audience include:

Waxing & More

Waxing in Maastricht can be pricey—I won’t lie, I miss the cheaper prices in southern Italy where I’m from. However, if you’re prepping for a holiday and a wax would be helpful, here are two salons I’ve tried that are good quality and slightly cheaper (but not much) compared with others while I was doing my research:

We also received a great tip from one of you: Beauty & More, which is part of the VISTA College’s visual care program. Treatments here are done by students in training, so they’re much cheaper. It might be the perfect solution for you!

Spa

Need a break from studying? Treat yourself to a spa day in Aachen, just a bus ride away! On Tuesdays, the Carolus Thermen offers a student discount: €13 for access to the thermal baths and €26 for the sauna world, with no time limit. Just present your student ID.

I went a few weeks ago with my roommates, and it was an amazing experience. We explored several saunas, including one with an oven where they baked cookies while we “cooked” ourselves—yes, we got to eat the cookies afterward! We also tried a coffee scrub, covered ourselves in honey, and relaxed in the pools and jacuzzi (everything included in the entrance price!)

One thing to note: it’s a naked sauna. It might feel a bit unusual at first, but hey, at the end of the day, we’re all made the same, right?

Hair

While I haven’t had my hair done in Maastricht yet, here are some suggestions from our audience:

  • Hair Lab: someone in our Instagram community said “very affordable and popular”.
  • The Best Haircut: Located in the city center, it offers student cuts for just €25.

That’s all from the recommendations I have for beauty treatments in Maastricht! If you have more tips, DM us on Instagram. Let’s help each other make the most of our self-care days!
