We really hope that during your time in Maastricht, you won’t require any hospital treatment, but it’s important to know what to expect in case you do end up in one!
There are several hospitals in the Limburg region, the largest one being the Maastricht University Hospital (MUMC+), which is located right next to the Randwyck campus.
The hospital has specialised medical doctors so if your GP refers you to see a specialist, you will most likely end up visiting MUMC+.
Depending on your health insurance, you may be able to access some or all of the hospitals in the Netherlands. You can check this from your insurance provider. This is important to know in case you end up having an emergency elsewhere than Maastricht.
